New look. New supporters. New features. After launching late last year, we want to keep growing in 2026 and reach even more beach volleyball supporters across Zurich and Switzerland. Alongside conversations with city authorities and beach clubs, we’ve been working on our appearance and expanding our network.
New Look
Thanks to Christian’s work as creative director, we’ve had a logo and strong brand identity since this season. We retired the initial tax-form-style site right at midsummer and replaced it with something that actually feels like the beach. If you’d like to link to us or feature us somewhere, feel free to ask for our logo at hoi [at] morebeachvolley.ch — we’ll send you the right variant for your use case, from print to screen. We’re also happy to link back to your club, your local community, or your beach project.
New Supporters
We already crossed the 300 individual supporters mark last year. This year, our project for better beach volleyball infrastructure is backed not only by many individuals but also by institutions. We’re happy to have the support of Swiss Volley Region Zurich, ZuZu Beach, Beachvolleycamps.ch, Beachvolleyball Zürich and Beachvolleyball Winterthur.
New Features
There are technical improvements too: you can now log in directly with your Google account, browse our Courtfinder with ratings for all Zurich courts, or manage your information in the new member area.
Check-In: Where and when are you playing today?
Whether anonymous or with your login name, let the community know where and when you’re playing. With this experimental feature we’re pursuing two main goals: First, we want to give you the ability — especially on summer days when the most popular courts are packed — to see whether and where switching courts might make sense. Second, our exchanges with the city have shown that numbers approximating how many people use our beach courts are extremely valuable for the bigger picture.
Coming soon: The morebeachvolley.ch Chat
We’ve also been busy under the hood: With our own morebeachvolley.ch chat server, we’ll soon be giving the beach community’s conversations a Swiss home. Whether peer-to-peer or group chat, whether on your phone, iPad, or laptop via the Element app or in the browser — you’ll soon be able to connect for free through morebeachvolley.ch. Just like the big platforms, but without the big platforms. And the best part: no extra account needed. You can use your morebeachvolley.ch account directly — whether you signed up with Google or your email address.
